In this workshop, you will be introduced to experimental film art — without a camera. You will work directly on 16mm film stock: scratching, painting, drawing, collage. Here, film does not become a carrier of a story, but a tangible artistic medium that responds to your touch.

After a short tour of the LABO BxL studio, you get to work right away. You work on your own piece of film and then paste everything together into one large loop. We project this immediately — and you see live how your handiwork comes to life on the big screen.

No technical prior knowledge required. Curiosity, however, is.

LABO BxL is a studio founded by and for filmmakers and artists who work with analog film material (Super 8 and 16mm). It is located at Argos.

An admission ticket to the exhibition is included in the price of the workshop.

What to bring?
